Hijab and Muslim societeis
Anyone says hijab is not forced or to be specific, it’s not a law for women to wear hijab answer me this: if a woman complained in a lawsuit her family are forcing her to wear hijab in Muslims society what would happen?
If young girls are being indoctrinated from a young age into believing that burqa is essential for their modesty, then it doesn't matter if it’s forced or not. It’s an inherently misogynistic practice that should not be accepted, let alone glorified as many shamelessly do.
People always says that if you wear modest clothing, hijab or even better, niqab - you'd be safe from rape, or harassment.
Have you asked women who wears them and get harassed?
Do you block that information out?
Do you still blame them for being harassed?
If the men, or society can't respect women, see them as equal, worthy of respect, and what not.. You dehumanize them, belittle them, objectify them, hypersexualize them - regardless what they wear, they'll still be harassed , molested, assaulted, raped, killed.
And if the men and society can respect women - even if she's naked, drunk, unconscious, etc.. You'd never take advantage on her, you'd protect her, you'd treat her humanely.
